Mujeres Fuertes (Strong Women) is a micro-budget, mission-driven, women-led production.
"Mujeres Fuertes" (Strong Women) is a story of self-defense, personal power, and freedom. It is our intention that our documentary educate audiences about violence prevention tools and inspire people to live with courage and confidence.
In April of 2021, the Mujeres Fuertes team completed an Empowerment Tour of Costa Rica, visiting 11 locations in just 2 weeks, reaching 100+ women. Between 2022 and 2023, our all-women production team produced the final film with a crowdfunded micro-budget of $5,000. We are passionate about healing the world through holistic self-defense. In March of 2023 we premiered our documentary, "Mujeres Fuertes" in San Jose, Costa Rica and online, beginning the journey of bringing our story and our movement to audiences worldwide.
